Manuel Antonio is one of the more visited central Pacific beach side towns in Costa Rica. This \"vacation club\" hub has developed immensely over the last 15 years and now encompasses most of the mountain ridge it dominates as well as the lower hillside lands pushing towards its infamous white sand beach and popular National Park. Its spectacular lush habitat and tropical cozy nature beckons all types of people from all over the world. Located just 35 minutes south of Jaco beach, Manuel Antonio is relatively easy to get to from San Jose either by car or by small aircraft. In fact, it is much easier now to travel to by car due to the two new bridges just now completed! Also the highway has been freshly paved all the way from Orontina to Quepos and then to Dominical. There is also a direct flight from San Jose to Quepos (town next to Manuel Antonio) which makes traveling to this region only 35 minutes from the country\'s capital.
The area is bustling with activity and many who have seen the development progression over the last 25 years claim it has turned from a sleepy \" Montezuma type of beach town\" into a Cancun style resort city. From luxury villas to high end condominium projects the area does not stop growing. It has its own coffee roasting company, Cafe Milagro, and several high end spas (see Tropical Day Spa), as well as many boutiques, classy restaurants and hotels. A five star marina resort with 300 concrete slips is currently under construction at the port of Quepos and will be the finest and only full service marina in Central America. 1st phase slips will be ready in the beginning of 2010.
The vacation rental industry in Manuel Antonio is prosperous and ones investment in a luxury home to turn into a rental home can easily become a cash cow business. Many of the finer homes listed herein are already offered as vacation rental homes and show a good income, some exceeding $100,000 a year!
