Costa Rica is a land of natural beauty: from its striking landscapes, abundant wildlife to its warm hearted people. Many who have come to visit have fallen in love with the spirit of life here which keeps drawing people back and often times commits those to stay. There is something different about the Costa Rica Lifestyle that marks it as memorable- the kind of living experience that sticks under your skin, sinks in deep and stirs one’s soul.

Perhaps it is the pure rawness of this country that lures visitors to return year after year back to a mission of Discovery . In a country the size of the U.S. state of Virginia and with a population of only 4 million people and a whole lot of unspoiled terrain, it is remarkable that over 5 distinctly different eco-systems can all be discovered and enjoyed in a relatively short travel distance from the other.

These eco-systems are dramatically marked within the different regions around the country. Starting from North to South from the high arid plains of the Northern Guanacaste region along the Pacific Coast and crossing over to the hot and humid jungles of the Caribbean, then inland towards the cold mountainous air of the Central Valley and along the central hinterland chain of Volcanoes, dropping down onto the Western shores of the dry tropical forests of the Southern Nicoya Peninsula where numerous rivers meet the sea, back onto the mainland heading farther south towards Quepos and Manuel Antonio known for its rich pre-Columbian heritage, and towards the steaming jungle forests of the Osa Peninsula and finally to the end of Costa Rica’s Pacific Coastal tail- Pavones : a one-of-a-kind Surfer’s dream destination point.

Whether by land or by sea, there is much to explore and learn about along this Rich Coast Latin American Country. Costa Rica boasts the greatest number of different butterfly and insect species in the world and its coastal waters harbor abundant aquatic life including migrations of Humpback, Grey and Orca whales as well as beckons several endangered species of Turtles: The Leather back, Olive Ridley and Green Sea Turtles to name just a few.

Sea life is bustling in Costa Rica and so is its surf! Some of the world’s best surfing is found at Esterillos and Playa Hermosa just south of Jaco and at Playa Carmen/ Santa Teresa in the Southern Nicoya. Imagine raising your children- or just yourself in such a rich bio diverse environment!

I invite you to find out for yourself if Costa Rica is your next home or home away from home!

Best wishes,
